This is the Girls 4x800M Relay Championship race from the 2024 CIF State Track & Field Meet, held May 25 at Buchanan High School (Clovis, CA). Sadie Engelhardt produced an amazing final leg for her Ventura High team, overcoming a botched handoff and an 8 second gap to win going away in the final 200M. Even with the dropped baton, Ventura ran the 6th fastest time in the US. Second place Santiago of Corona ran the 10th fastest time in the US for 2024. These were 10 big points for Ventura, which ended up in second place by 6 points for the overall girls team title.
